Medication Management & Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Psychiatric care, medication management, and comprehensive addiction treatment through Inspire Counseling & Support Center

Finding the right medication can be an important part of improving mental health, stability, and overall quality of life. At Inspire Counseling & Support Center, our psychiatric providers work with children age 7 and older, adolescents and adults to evaluate symptoms, discuss treatment options and provide ongoing medication management when medication is appropriate.

We also provide comprehensive Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for individuals living with opioid and alcohol use disorders. Our MAT program goes beyond prescribing medication. Treatment can combine medication with individual counseling, group therapy, individualized treatment planning and ongoing recovery support to address the whole person.

Psychiatric Evaluations

A psychiatric evaluation is a comprehensive appointment with a psychiatric provider to better understand symptoms, medical and behavioral health history, current medications, daily functioning and treatment goals.

Following the evaluation, the provider discusses recommendations with the client or legal guardian. Recommendations may include medication, therapy, behavioral strategies, additional assessment or a combination of services.

Self-Pay Rates

  • Psychiatric Evaluation — $265
  • ADHD Evaluation — $265
  • Medication Management — $125

Inspire also accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare. Coverage, copays, deductibles, and authorization requirements vary by insurance plan. Our team can help verify benefits before your appointment.

Ongoing Medication Management

Medication management is more than receiving a prescription.

When medication is part of a client’s treatment plan, our psychiatric providers provide ongoing follow-up to evaluate how treatment is working and determine whether changes may be appropriate.

Medication management appointments may include:

  • Reviewing symptoms and progress
  • Monitoring medication effectiveness
  • Discussing side effects or concerns
  • Reviewing medication adherence
  • Adjusting medication when clinically appropriate
  • Coordinating medication with counseling and other behavioral health services
  • Discussing questions and treatment goals with the client or legal guardian

Treatment decisions are individualized. Our goal is to help clients understand their options and participate actively in decisions about their care.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Recovery is about more than medication.

Inspire’s Medication-Assisted Treatment program combines evidence-based medications with behavioral health treatment and recovery support for individuals experiencing opioid and/or alcohol use disorders.

Depending on individual needs, an MAT treatment plan may include:

  • Medication
  • Individual Counseling
  • Group Therapy
  • Treatment Planning
  • Recovery Support

By providing these services together, our team can address substance use alongside mental health, relationships, coping skills, relapse prevention, and the everyday challenges that can affect long-term recovery.

MAT Medications Available

Inspire provides MAT using multiple medication options based on diagnosis, clinical need, medical appropriateness and provider recommendations.

Buprenorphine

Buprenorphine-based treatment may be used for opioid use disorder. Treatment may include oral or sublingual formulations at clinically appropriate dosages.

Sublocade® — Injectable Buprenorphine

Sublocade is an extended-release injectable form of buprenorphine used in the treatment of opioid use disorder. It is administered by qualified medical staff rather than provided as take-home medication.

Brixadi® — Injectable Buprenorphine

Brixadi is another extended-release injectable buprenorphine option for opioid use disorder and is available in weekly and monthly formulations.

Extended-Release Injectable Naltrexone

Extended-release injectable naltrexone may be used as part of treatment for alcohol and/or opioid use disorders. The medication is administered by medical personnel, generally on a monthly basis.

Oral Naltrexone

Oral naltrexone is another medication option that may be used in the treatment of alcohol and/or opioid use disorders when clinically appropriate.

Acamprosate

Acamprosate is a medication option used in the treatment of alcohol use disorder and may be incorporated into an individualized recovery plan.

More Than Medication

Medication can be an important tool in recovery, but our MAT program is designed to support the person beyond the prescription.

Participants may receive:

Individual Counseling – One-to-one support addressing substance use, mental health, triggers, relationships and recovery goals.
Group Therapy – Structured therapeutic groups that provide education, coping skills, relapse-prevention strategies and connection with others working toward recovery.
Individualized Treatment Planning – A treatment plan developed around each person’s needs, strengths and recovery goals.
Medication Management – Ongoing medical monitoring and adjustment of MAT medications when clinically appropriate.
Co-Occurring Mental Health Care – Support for individuals experiencing substance use alongside depression, anxiety, trauma or other behavioral health concerns.
Recovery & Community Support – Connection to additional services and resources that may help strengthen long-term stability.

Why Combine Medication and Counseling?

Substance use disorders can affect the brain, body, relationships, employment, housing, mental health and nearly every area of daily life.

Medication can help address certain biological aspects of addiction, including cravings and withdrawal, while counseling and behavioral health treatment help people develop the skills, supports and strategies needed to build sustainable recovery.

At Inspire, we believe effective treatment should address the whole person—not simply the substance being used.

Insurance & Self-Pay Options

We believe access to behavioral healthcare matters.

Inspire accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare. Because coverage varies by insurance company, plan, and medication, our team will help determine eligibility and benefits before treatment whenever possible.

Self-pay options are also available:

  • Psychiatric Evaluation: $265
  • ADHD Evaluation: $265
  • Medication Management: $125

Medication costs, injectable medications, laboratory services, and other services associated with MAT may have separate insurance coverage or costs depending on the individual’s treatment plan.
